LIMA, Feb 14 (AFP) - The French tourism and hotel group Accor is
considering investing upwards of 80 million dollars in Peru, company
officials said here Sunday.
Accor representatives are to meet with a Peruvian company Friday
to discuss plans to create the Cuzco Hotel corporation, an eight
million dollar investment.
The corporation plans to buy a colonial mansion in the ancient
imperial city of Cuzco and turn it into a five-star hotel.
According to the Peruvian ministry of industry and tourism,
Accor operates in 142 countries, running more than 2,800 hotels of
varying categories.
